Ten years. Ten harvests. One celebration. SATURDAY, 26 SEPTEMBER
On September 26th, we open the gates once again for Open House — our annual Harvest Party and, this year, a special edition marking ten years since the release of our very first wines. Set amongst the vineyards, gardens and ancient trees of the estate, Open House brings together everything we love most: music, food, wine, creativity and community.
Expect live music from morning until late, wine tastings, workshops, local producers and artisans, children’s activities, seasonal flavours and plenty of space to spend the day at your own pace. Wander through the estate, linger over lunch, discover something new, explore your senses or simply find a quiet spot beneath the trees with a glass of wine. As the sun sets over the vineyards, we’ll gather once more to celebrate ten harvests together.
Check bellow the Full program of activities, wine tastings, workshops & music.
We’d love you to join us.
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES
We feel proud of what we have achieved at Morgado do Quintão since our debut harvest in 2016 and would love the opportunity to share this celebration with you. This time, alongside the wine, the food and the music, we’ve invited some friends to bring a little of what they do — and what they love — to Morgado do Quintão.
YOGA MORNING with Astrid van der Krogt | Start the day slowly with gentle movement, breathwork and meditation among the vines.
WRITING THROUGH THE SENSES with Alicia M. Rodriguez | A one-hour invitation to look, smell, touch and taste the vineyard — and see where the senses take your writing.
WATERCOLOUR & WINE with Catarina Olefir | A playful painting session inspired by the colours, textures and atmosphere of Morgado do Quintão, glass of wine in hand.
CANDLE MAKING with Clara Sergerie of Mason Clara | Turn a reclaimed Morgado do Quintão wine bottle into a scented candle, with a fragrance inspired by the Algarve.
OYSTER EXPERIENCE by Salty Pot with Maria João Deus | Taste three different preparations of oysters from the Ria de Alvor — natural, Rockefeller and Bloody.
VINEGAR EXPERIENCE with David Santo of Fateixa| Discover the craft behind Algarve vinegar, from fruit and herbs to oak ageing, with a tasting along the way.
A NEW CHAPTER — WINE TASTING | Meet our new lead winemaker Mariana Salvador and taste through Algarve varieties, old vineyards and the beginning of a new chapter at Morgado do Quintão.
A collection of small experiences, shared by people who make them their own. Choose your activities and book your place in advance.
GUEST CHEF:JOÃO VIEGAS
João Viegas joins us for Open House. Born in Tavira, João has built his career around the Algarve — its ingredients, traditions and seasons — while bringing a contemporary eye to the region.
His path has taken him from São Gabriel to some of the world’s most renowned kitchens, including El Celler de Can Roca, Mugaritz and Central in Peru. Today, at Mesa Farta in Tavira, he continues to explore a cuisine deeply rooted in the Algarve, its identity and its seasons. That connection to place, curiosity and forward-looking approach felt very close to ours.
On 26 September, João joins us at Morgado do Quintão to cook a selection of dishes alongside our own food throughout the day — bringing a little of his Algarve to ours. We can’t wait to taste it.
MUSIC ALL DAY
Music will be with us from morning until late, with a line-up brought together by one common thread: a connection to the Algarve. From the deeper corners of the record crates with DJ Kobertor & DJ B Side, through the intimate sounds of Songbook Trio and Clara, to the fado of Rodrigo Rebelo de Andrade, the Algarve-rooted sounds of Flangelus, the samba roda of Sambambas, the live energy of The Breezers and the late-day sounds of DJ Trippy Sound.
Different sounds, different stories, one long day of music to celebrate at Morgado do Quintão.
