COFFEE & TERROIR
On December 10, we open the gates of the estate for something a little different… and beautifully aromatic. COFFEE & TERROIR. We’re partnering with Al-Gharb Coffee Roasters*, the Algarve-based roastery dedicated to ethical sourcing, careful roasting and true flavour expression, to bring a Coffee Cupping Session to Morgado do Quintão. A moment to slow down, taste with intention, and discover how terroir speaks — not only through wine, but through coffee too.

Discover the difference between espresso and filter coffee, and how extraction transforms flavour
How aroma, temperature & slurping (yes, slurping!) unlock flavour
A relaxed tour through the old vines of Morgado do Quintão

Why Coffee Cupping? Because (just like wine), coffee holds landscapes inside it — altitude, climate, hands that harvest, and the choices of the roaster. And tasting them side by side changes everything.
(* ) Al-Gharb Coffee Roasters is a specialty coffee roaster and brunch café based in Albufeira, Portugal, founded in 2019. Dedicated to quality, traceability and sustainable sourcing, they roast carefully selected beans from around the world, ensuring each cup delivers consistent flavour through regular cupping and quality control. Unlike commercial dark roasts, Al-Gharb highlights the unique character of each single-origin bean, roasting to reveal its natural flavour notes — letting every coffee “tell its own story.” Named after the historic Arabic word for the Algarve, Al-Gharb embraces the region’s heritage while contributing to a new generation of Portuguese specialty coffee roasters, honouring tradition with a modern, thoughtful approach to coffee.

This holiday season, with our partner for this venture All Stars Cinema , we aim to assist them on the 21st Annual Shoebox Campaign for the Elderly. The boxes will be delivered by the Castelo de Sonhos team. Castelo de Sonhos is a registered charity ((IPSS 3000062892) with more than 200 elderly in need, living in the Silves area.
Here's what to do:
Fill your shoebox with a variety pf gifts. Here are some suggestions: Warm socks, toiletries - toothbrush&toothpaste, soap, shampoo, hand cream, festive cakes, biscuits, chocolates, packets of soup, canned goods (sardine paté), jam/preserves, a small torch, a notpad and pen.
Please check edibles are within a reasonable expiry date, and take note: no medication or alcohol!

A TOUCH OF VINEGAR: GASTRONOMIC EVENING
Our upcoming Circle event is a food journey into flavour, memory, and details with Fateixa Vinegars. A unique gastronomic evening — where fruit, time, and patience become something extraordinary. Led by Fateixa Vinegars, a family project born from generations connected to the sea and the land, this session celebrates the art of acetification through the ancestral Orléans method — slow acetification in wooden barrels, guided only by nature - that turns figs, grapes, citrus, pomegranates, and herbs into vibrant, living vinegars.
As David Santo, founder of Fateixa Vinegars, recalls: “Some of my most vivid childhood memories are of evenings at the beach with my grandfather — friends, fishermen, and family gathered around simple food and the fresh catch of the day. The secret to every dish was his touch of vinegar — a taste that carried the sea, the sun, and the joy of being together. Fateixa was born from those moments; it’s a celebration of memory, nature, and what makes life truly flavourful.”
Guests will be guided by David Santo through a vinegar tasting, a cocktail demonstration, culminating into a seasonal dinner with Morgado do Quintão Wines, celebrating local ingredients and sustainable craftsmanship.

MOVIE UNDER THE STARS SESSIONS
We invite you to join us at Morgado do Quintão for a curated collection of open-air film nights where music drifts through the ancient olive trees, the vineyard glows at dusk, and a glass of wine accompanies the unfolding of a story.
All Stars Cinema is our Partner for this venture. These sessions will have the following line up of classic ‘feel good’ movies: Shine 10 July | Lost In Translation 21 August | Sideways 11 September | A Good Year 16 October.
Come with family, friends, or someone you love, and settle in for an evening among the vines — unhurried, unfiltered, unforgettable.
The Sessions: gates open at 7.30PM followed by a sunset music moment. Film session starts at 9PM. Blankets will be provided for your comfort.
