The wines of Morgado do Quintão embrace ancient grape varietals and heritage winemaking methods, exhibiting and elevating the quality and character of Algarve terroir. We champion local grapes like Crato Branco and Negra Mole, showcasing them with "old" styles like Palhete and Clarete. We bring these wines to the table with attention to low-intervention, "natural" winemaking processes - the way they've always been made for 350 years on our family-owned vineyard.
You may buy our wine at the estate as well as in specialty wine stores & restaurants in Portugal, the UK and France. You may also buy our wine online.
We've been growing grapes for over 200 years and you can feel it in our own wines which are faithful to the tradition of the indigenous grapes varieties of the Algarve and this terroir and we enjoy sharing what we’ve learned along the way as well as the flavours of our wines and of our algarvian legacy in our wine tasting at the estate.
Guests will be welcomed at Morgado do Quintão for a walk around the estate to observe the vineyards and learn about the local grape varieties. Under the 2.000 year-old olive tree the conversation will continue around wine, food, the history of the Algarve and... wine! We’ll taste our current range of wines with some home-made "petiscos", while learning about the local wine culture. We'll provide some guidance on other activities in the area related to wine & food.
Guests may purchase wine to take home at a discounted rate.
